CONVENTION TIME IN RIVERSIDE CALIFORNIA

Serra Regional Convention

October 7-9, 2011

“We Are Called”

When you reflect upon the theme chosen for our 2011 Serra Regional Convention – “We Are Called” –

we realize that these words are simple, elegant and thought-provoking,

and carry different messages to each of our hearts, minds and souls.

In addition to all the messages that God is quietly sending us daily, may we suggest that one of the

messages might be that we should make a commitment to

take part in this year’s Serra Regional Convention.

Attached are two biographies. One is of our keynote speaker, Rev. Eugene Hemrick, and the other is of

Most Reverend Gerald Richard Barnes, Bishop of the Diocese of San Bernardino.

A draft agenda is also included. Some minor changes may have to be made but the majority of the

agenda should remain as presented.

The Mission Inn Hotel and Spa in Riverside is now accepting your reservations for the Serra Regional

Convention. Call (951) 784-0300 and ask for the special Serra Convention rate.

We plan additional information about our upcoming convention in future mailings:

February News: Biographies of Diocese of San Bernardino Bishop, Keynote Speaker Eugene Hemrick and

Regional Convention Agenda

March News: History of the Diocese of San Bernardino and The Mission Inn and Spa, plus additional

biographies.

April News: History of the Diocese of San Bernardino Junipero Serra House of Formation, statistics on

our seminarians, plus Play and Shop information.

May News: Local Tours, Art and Glass Galleries, Museums and historical points of interest in our

communities.

June News: Biographies of our panel discussion group, updates and/or changes to the agenda.

PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS

Membership is still a high priority for the Club. Please follow-up with those who have shown an interest, particularly those who have been sent applications. Members are encouraged to bring interested persons as their guests to our Club Programs. This is a grand way to get new comers/prospective members “in the spirit”.

"ALWAYS GO FORWARD, NEVER TURN BACK"
