Our History
Our San Bernardino Club was Chartered in February, 1980 by direction of Bishop Phillip F. Straling. It was the first Serra Club in the Diocese of San Bernardino and its founder was Joseph Hertel. Since then three other clubs have been formed in the Vicariates of Riverside, Palm Springs and Hemet.
A new club is in the process of being established this year in the High Desert Vicariate (includes Victorville, Hesperia, Phelan and Apple Valley). Two co-Chaplains have been identified and SERRA District 157 has a team ready to help the new Club get up and running.
One or two new Clubs are also planned for the Diocese's West End Vicariate.
